NEW FRAGRANT FENNEL RUB

There is a new rub on the block for the Sangudo Growers Association!  We LOVE our Pork ,Apple and Fennel Sausages so we thought it was time to introduce a little fennel to your BBQ as well as your sausages!

Dried fennel seed is an aromatic, anise-flavoured spice and it lends itself perfectly to chicken, pork, fish and vegetables.  Our Fragrant Fennel Rub makes the most of the the superior Green Fennel Seed and the process of toasting the seeds helps releases such a hit of flavour this rub will get any BBQ off to the right start!

DID YOU KNOW: In the Indian subcontinent, fennel seeds are also eaten raw, sometimes with some sweetener, as they are said to improve eyesight. Ancient Romans regarded fennel as the herb of sight.  Root extracts were often used in tonics to clear cloudy eyes. Extracts of fennel seed have been shown in animal studies to have a potential use in the treatment of glaucoma.
